Nick Cave mixed with Shane McGowan and Tom Waits sounds good, but does it look a bit weird?
IN BREIF–Tim Stewart, lead singer and dynamic front man for local band Svelte, has been described as “a little bit of Nick Cave mixed with Shane McGowan and Tom Waits.” The comments were made by a New Zealand music fan on Muzic.net.nz.
Meanwhile, on rival site NZ Music.com, a poster described the band’s song ‘Grind your Bones’ as “dirty and sexy and grown-up and pre-apocalyptic”.
